It's difficult for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the achievement hunters, are all that remain for a side that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, taking back their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, frankly, a tribute to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

What's clear is this hundred was much more difficult to see coming.

The Christchurch carnage in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India from the beginning of the previous month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it's been a disappointing period because it seemed my form was missing whatsoever," said Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your fighting spirit kick in and you just lock into the contest."

Healy's fighting spirit has continuously been her great strength - and an invaluable trait in succeeding iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's inspiration.

A single came off the opening delivery and from there Healy was underway.

"A chance to play and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment in that regard, kind of motivated me," stated Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 balls - her quickest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 deliveries while she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was out her side needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - a manageable total now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the assurance to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

That comment will be the final thing competing nations at this World Cup need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph following success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

During that phase they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a major tournament.

Such is her determination, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have postponed thoughts of retirement, this World Cup is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in ODI cricket and she is hasn't yet secured an international tournament as skipper.
