Thus we find ourselves. Preparations are underway to storm the compound overseas. Tensions are rising. Conflict emerges from the sidelines. A lone figure, vulnerable, nervous, the words HIGH RELEASE POINT smeared across his chest as a symbol, has stumbled from the field and is taken aside in secrecy for a temporary assignment at Derbyshire.

2. The Honeymoon Phase

Cult leaders guarantee a fresh beginning, hope for a future, support, salvation among a group who all believe in the big idea.

What was this thing initially? A team united enjoying success. Body art. Forearms. Determination. Peak performance vibes. Oh sure, The squad insist they don’t use the label, ironically because if it doesn’t exist, what was that spectacle?

But we know the concept. It’s Harry Brook playing a shot so unconventional it defies description. It’s the excitement of the leader in his final form, a look that says: pensive Nordic god, beard made of wood, hair woven from beaver hide, genuinely raw you wouldn’t be surprised to glance over and see him playing at mid-off bare-chested holding a fish.

It’s Ben Duckett still being allowed speaking publicly, out there looking like a happy little woodland creature formally attired, expressing thoughts like we are actively deconstructing the orange. Certainly, the energy, initially, was only good energy.

3. A New Life
